Two-Hour General Strike in Slovenia Succeeds
Ljubljana, 24 October - SLOVENIA/STRIKE/TRADE/UNIONS
Approximately 250,000 workers went on strike Thursday all over Slovenia. A two-hour general strike was carried out at the initiative of the Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS) and Pergam trade unions. The reason for the strike was the recent employers' one-sided cancellation of the General Collective Agreement.
