"Tuš's Run of Colours" in Ljubljana on Friday is an event dedicated to all generations. Its message is "live healthy while having fun".

The purpose of the five kilometres of running and inline skating is to bring together professional athletes, recreationists and people who are otherwise not very active but like to combine exercise and fun, the organisers said.

"Time will not be measured and there will be no winners, because everybody is a winner."

On Saturday, those with a little bit more stamina will be able to take the Legionar Battle Ljubljana tournament, which combines gymnastics, running, weightlifting, kettlebell lifting and tests of strength and endurance.

Competitions will take the whole day, followed by an award ceremony and a party featuring all participants, the organisers said.

The 26th Half Marathon of Statehood will take place on the same day in Celje, on the eve of National Day, with its two-lap route running from Zlatorog Arena to Šmartinsko Lake and back.

Runs for children will also be organised.
