Karničar cancels K2 ski descent adventure

Ljubljana, 6 July - Slovenian Alpine climber and extreme skier Davo Karničar has cancelled his plan to become the first person to ski non-stop down the 8,611-metre K2, the world's second highest mountain. He cited a back injury and bad weather on the mountain as the reason, commercial broadcaster POP TV reported on Thursday.
