New Stretch of Ljubljana Ring-Road Opened

Slovene Minister of Transport and Communications Igor Umek opened a new stretch of the ring-road around Ljubljana, linking Tomačevo and Šmartinsko, Wednesday. The 2.3 kilometre stretch of the northern Ljubljana by-pass was built by Slovene construction companies SCT Ljubljana and GIZ Gradis in a record time - 11 months before the contract deadline. The construction cost SIT 3.1 billion (US$ ).
