Municipalities spent least funds in a decade in 2016

Ljubljana, 29 August - Slovenian municipalities spent the least funds in a decade last year, as their expenditure totalled EUR 1.85bn, down EUR 350m from 2015, a study carried out by the Golden Rock regional development project shows. The authors of the study attribute the decline to a transition to a new EU budget, which resulted in sharp decline in investment.
