Friderik Pregl, the only Slovenian Nobel laureate
Ljubljana, 24 November - Friderik Pregl (1869-1930) is the only Slovenian-born scientist with a Nobel Prize to his name. He won the most prestigious award in science in 1923 for the development of a new method for the quantitative analysis of chemical compounds.
