Borut Pahor, an incumbent used to overcoming setbacks

Ljubljana, 22 October - Incumbent President Borut Pahor won the first round of the presidential election on Sunday but fell short of an outright majority despite polls indicating he sweep the first round. He will have to contest a run-off in three weeks against Marjan Šarec, the mayor of Kamnik.
