New chief-of-staff says army needs additional 1,200 troops

Ljubljana, 7 March - Major General Alan Geder, the new chief of the general staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces, has said the army would need an additional 1,200 soldiers to "function normally". With almost 900 soldiers out of action due to urgent training, the contract reserve will be called up as a stopgap measure.
