Talks on Premier-Designate between Spring Parties and LDS Bear No Fruit

After Wednesday's talks held by the leaders of the spring parties (SLS, SDS and SKD) and the Liberal Democracy of Slovenia (LDS), Janez Drnovšek (LDS) and Marjan Podobnik (Slovene People's Party - SLS), both candidates for premier-designate, estimated that the talks had been useful and constructive and that the parties were successfully harmonizing their stands in the field of programme, but remained at the same old standpoints as to the question of the ruling coalition and the name of the new prime minister.
