Primorski Dnevnik: Fair to Minorities and Useful for the State
Trieste, 20 December - The news that the Constitutional Court of Slovenia rejected the demand by Danijel Starman, a lawyer and former legislator, for limiting constitutional rights of Italian and Hungarian minority's legislators, who were elected on the basis of a constitutional stipulation on guaranteed representation, did not please only representatives of both minorities but everybody in Slovenia who is engaged with minority issues, convinced that these have to do with the exercise of human rights, which are the basis of every civilized democratic state, Primorski dnevnik, Slovene language daily issued in Trieste, writes on Friday.
