Eurelectric conference to focus on rapid change in sector
Ljubljana, 4 June - Eurelectric, the European association of the electrical industry, will hold its annual Power Summit in Ljubljana on Monday and Tuesday. The focus will be on rapid change in the sector and roughly 500 participants are expected.
The event will feature directors of major European energy firms, national and EU officials, and representatives of European institutes and foundations, according to Anton Colarič, the head of the Slovenian Energy Chamber.
The main topic will be digitalization of energy systems, but debates will also delve into energy efficiency, energy storage, and sustainable development.
Colarič said the energy industry is amidst profound change due to the transition to low-carbon energy, which also requires a re-alignment of energy policy goals.
