Matej Tonin elected speaker of parliament

Ljubljana, 22 June - Matej Tonin, the 34-year-old leader of the conservative party New Slovenia (NSi), was elected speaker of parliament by near unanimous vote at the inaugural session on Friday with 80 MPs in favour and nine against, while one vote was invalid.
