Judges' Association protests idea to end life tenure

Ljubljana, 3 July - The Slovenian Judges' Association rejected on Tuesday the idea of ending life tenure for judges and introducing 12-year terms. It said such a step, proposed in a leaked draft coalition agreement produced in talks led by the Marjan Šarec List (LMŠ), would drastically reduce courts' independence.
