Drnovšek Expects Support from Individual Spring Parties MPs

Outgoing Premier and Liberal Democrats candidate for premier-designate Janez Drnovšek, whose candidacy will be put on vote in the Parliament Wednesday, told in an interview for Radio Slovenia Tuesday evening he expects support from the United List of Social Democrats (ZLSD), the Democratic Party of Pensioners (DeSUS), the Slovene National Party (SNS), both minority MPs and individual MPs from the spring parties. He said the outcome of tomorrow's voting is uncertain, but expressed his belief that in the present moment Slovenia is closer to forming a new government than to calling a new election.
