Candidate for Premier-Designate Presents New Government's Goals

In his speech at Wednesday's extraordinary session of Slovene Parliament, at which the legislators are scheduled to vote on President Milan Kučan's proposal to appoint Janez Drnovšek (outgoing premier and LDS leader) premier-designate, Drnovšek predicted a 3 to 4 percent inflation by the end of the four-year mandate, Slovenia's full membership of NATO and the European Union and achievement of position equal to that of the Hungarian and Italian national minorities in Slovenia for the Slovene national minority abroad.
