Reactions to Defection of SKD's Deputy

After Wednesday's decision of Ciril Pucko, a Christian Democrat's (SKD) deputy, to leave the party, become an independent deputy and support Janez Drnovšek's candidacy for the post of premier, the SKD party leader Lojze Peterle estimated that Pucko thus presented the party with a fait accompli, which is against the party's guidelines adopted at the Škofja Loka congress.
