The Federation of Free Trade Unions' Expectations in 1997
Ljubljana, 9 January - UNIONS/TRADE/EXPECTATIONS
The Federation of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS) is interested in concluding the 1997 social treaty through a dialogue between the social partners. The ZSSS expects the new Parliament to adopt as soon as possible a bill on the Economic-Social Council and wishes that trade unions remain represented in the National Council also in the future, ZSSS leader Dušan Semolič told a press conference Thursday. Talking about ZSSS' expectations from the new government, Semolič said the future Government should pay a lot more attention to the labour-intensive industries and to regional economic problems.
