Drnovšek Will Try to Form a Wide-Coalition Government

Being elected Prime Minister Thursday, Janez Drnovšek Friday announced that he would make a serious attempt to form a wide-coalition government and get stronger support in the Parliament. If he fails, prime Minister Drnovšek will be forced to form a government on the basis of 46 votes he received in the Parliament vote Thursday. Later he will try to gradually expand the government by including in an additional party or by gaining support of individual deputies or deputy groups.
