Delo: An Invitation that Cannot be Received?

Ljubljana, 11 January - Slovenia attended as observer an informal meeting of the South Eastern Europe Cooperation Initiative (SECI) held on the level of diplomatic mission representatives in Geneva on Friday, while Clinton's special envoy Richard Schifter is scheduled to visit Ljubljana next week to specify a U.S. initiative for economic stabilization on the Balkans. In the multi-party contest for the influence in Europe, which is full of competing projects for regional integrations, Slovenia will have to give a special attention to the new initiative from Washington, the daily Delo writes in its editorial on Saturday.
