Schifter in Slovenia on SECI

A potential cooperation of Slovenia with the South East European Cooperation Initiative (SECI) will not have a negative influence on Slovenia's efforts to join the European and Euro-Atlantic integrations. On the contrary, U.S. President Bill Clinton assured that Slovenia's joining SECI would positively influence the process of NATO joining, said U.S. President Clinton's special security adviser Richard Schifter, responsible for SECI, after he met with the highest officials in Ljubljana Wednesday. In terms of Slovenia's EU joining, went on Schifter, also the EU officials assured the same during the talks with the U.S. officials about SECI.
