Večer: Accept or Reject?
Maribor, 18 January - PRESS/SLOVENIA/VEČER
The first reactions of the Slovene spring parties may suggest that Drnovšek is not likely to get the answers he wants on Monday. It will be difficult to accept his draft but the parties might agree to further talks. Drnovšek is most likely to face a decision on whether to form a minority government (the Liberal Democracy of Slovenia (LDS), the United List of Social Democrats (ZLSD), the Democratic Party of the Retired (DeSUS), the Slovenian National Party (SNS), deputy Ciril Pucko and representatives of national minorities), or to carry on the process of bringing both sides closer together, which does not guarantee a success. Chances are that Drnovšek will not be able to present a list of new ministers by the end of the next week, writes Peter Jančič in Saturday's Večer.
