Ivan Bizjak: Violation of Laws - Severe Damage to Legal State

Unlike Sweden, Slovenia unfortunately cannot boast a lengthy tradition of Ombudsman, but nevertheless, after twoyears the institution has already gained ground. Ombudsman Ivan Bizjak received 2,332 petitions in the first year in office, and 2,437 last year. The initiatives submitted in the first year revealed an unclarity about the ombudsman's domain and role. However, after two years in place, the institution seems to have gained approval among people.
