European Parliament initiative urges end to asylum reform deadlock

Brussels, 10 October - Led by Slovenian MEP Tanja Fajon, the European Parliament's rapporteurs monitoring efforts for a reform of the common European asylum system protested with European Commission head Jean-Claude Juncker on Wednesday over the lack of progress and urged EU members to immediately lift the blockade of the asylum system.
