Drnovšek Sends Letter to Austrian ex-Chancellor

Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovšek sent a letter Wednesday to Austrian ex-Chancellor Franz Vranitsky on the occasion of his resignation, congratulating him on his work, which was to the benefit of Austria as well as of good neighbourly relations between Slovenia and Austria. Drnovšek also thanked Vranitzky for his efforts to help Slovenia join the European Union (EU) and to consolidate its position among the Central European countries, Premier's Office reported.
