Janez Drnovšek: "I Am Trying to Retain the Possibility of a Broad Coalition"

Ljubljana, 23 January - A day before the deadline for the submission of the list of proposed ministers of the new government to the parliament, Prime Minister Janez Drnovšek met several representatives of parliamentary parties for accelerated discussions about the formation of a government coalition. There have been two alternatives involved: one is that of a government of minimal majority, which would control 46 out of 90 seats in the parliament, and the other that of a government of national unity, which would involve all or the majority of parliamentary parties.
