Chamber of Economy and Governor Arhar on Current Economic Situation in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 29 January - Slovene Chamber of Economy assessed the current economic situation in Slovenia at Wednesday's regular session. France Arhar, Governor of the Bank of Slovenia, also attended the session. Arhar listed reduction of inflation and stable rate of the national currency as the main goals of the central bank in the future. According to Arhar, stable currency has to be Slovenia's main guideline. Governor of the Bank of Slovenia also stressed the need for extensive saving in Slovenia, which will result in decrease of interest rates.
