Slovenia Compared to Other Countries
Ljubljana, 9 March - SLOVENIA/COMPARISONS/GDP
Internationally, Slovenia is usually compared with other countries in transition, especially members of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA). However, the Office for Macroeconomic Analyses and Development argues in the latest issue of its bulletin, the Economic Mirror, that such comparisons may not be absolutely adequate as fairly different economies are involved. The Office therefore compared Slovenia to Portugal and Greece, the lowest-ranking EU members in terms of their economic development.
