Government Sets Salaries of Government Officials
Ljubljana, 13 March - GOVERNMENT/SALARIES/OFFICIALS
At its Thursday session, Slovenia's government adopted a draft bill which will temporarily define a base of those salaries and other earnings resulting from employment which are calculated on the basis of average salary in the economy sector. Salaries of nearly one thousand government officials are involved, which are not going to change by the end of this year, Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Tone Rop said after the session. Parliament is to pass the bill shortly, which is to be one of the first steps taken by the government after the indexation has been abolished.
