Weekly Review of Slovene Economy from 16 through 22 March
Ljubljana, 22 March - The Slovene government passed a decree at its Thursday session rising retail prices of oil derivatives; in the prices the ecological tax is already included. Retail prices of petrol increased by 9.4 - 9.5 percent, diesel oil by 8.7 percent, extra light fuel oil by 7.7 percent, petroleum spirit by 7.9 - 8.2 percent and liquified oil gas by 6.6 percent. New prices took effect on 21 March. They are to influence the March inflation by 1.11 percent, while due to the rise the budget will be richer by nearly SIT one billion per month. The price of 98 petrol with the ecological tax costs SIT 93.1, while the 95 unleaded petrol is SIT 85.8 per liter.
