Kinodvor wins Europa Cinemas programming award

Ljubljana, 25 November - The Ljubljana art cinema Kinodvor has won the Europa Cinemas 2019 award for best programming, its second from the European cinema network after taking the accolade for best young audience activities in 2010.

The award was presented at the 21st conference of Europa Cinemas in Lisbon at the weekend along with the awards for best young audience activities, which went to Cinema Lux in Caen and Cafe des Images in Herouville-Saint-Clair in France, and best entrepreneur award which went to Yanaki and Christo Dermendjiev from the Lucky Cinema Home in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, a press release from Kinodvor said.

Europa Cinemas brings together almost 1,200 cinemas in 43 countries that are committed to giving a significant part of their screenings to non-national European films and to offering activities for young audiences.

The award for Kinodvor was accepted by its director Metka Dariš, her programming assistant Koen Van Daele and former director Nina Peče Grilc.
