Croatia Is Interested in Motorway Connection with Italy via Kozina

When the question is about the course of the corridor no. 5, Croatia is much interested in the infrastructural connection Reka-Rupa-Trieste, which would cross over 30 kilometers of Slovenia's territory. Such motorway connection would make Croatia's shortest way to Italy, which is especially important because Italy is the most important trade partner of Croatia and also because the majority of tourists from West European countries comes to the Croatian coast via the present main road Reka-Kozina-Trieste, which is in rather poor condition.
