Ljubljana, 19 December - Ideas to build a second nuclear power station have long been around, even more so as Slovenia is making a transition to a low-carbon society and the Krško Nuclear Power Plant (NEK) is due to close in 2043. But with safety concerns and a EUR 5 billion price tag, politicians have been reluctant to make any concrete commitments.
