Ljubljana, 12 April - The government adopted Thursday alterations to the decree introducing financial interventions for the preservation and development of agriculture and food production for the first half of 1997 by increasing subsidies on the export of beef and apples. The government was briefed on the report of the Slovene Export Corporation's operations in 1996 and adopted guidelines for the company's development with bases of business policy for 1997. Cabinet ministers passed a decree on the manner of setting wholesale prices of medicines and medical material. State Secretary for market and prices Anton Grabeljšek said the decree enabled domestic producers to raise prices of medicines up to 7.3 percent on 1 May. The government prepared a law on the ratification of the convention on laundering, detecting, seizure and confiscation of property gained through criminal activity.
