Top court rejects appeal over media campaign debates

Ljubljana, 22 January - The Constitutional Court has rejected a petition by a non-parliamentary party to examine legislative provisions allowing public media to host separate campaign debates for parliamentary and non-parliamentary parties.

Klemen Jaklič, a judge on the Slovenian Constitutional Court, offers a dissenting opinion in a judgement on a petition brought by non-parliamentary parties over media exposure in campaign debates.
