Parliamentary Committee for International Relations Supports Endeavors to Join NATO
Ljubljana, 18 April - Parliamentary Committee for International Relations dedicated most of its Friday's regular session to Slovenia's integration into NATO. The committee discussed government's information about the issue and called on the executive to strengthen its endeavors in the field. The committee hailed Thursday's signature of joint statement of parliamentary parties in support to Slovenia's inclusion into NATO, which will be sent to parliaments of all NATO member countries. The committee also reconfirmed the stand, adopted by Slovene parliament in 1996, that NATO membership was a priority of Slovenia's foreign policy.
