Government Raises Electricity Prices

Ljubljana, 24 April - SLOVENIA/GOVERNMENT/ELECTRICITY
Prices of electricity will increase by 9.8 percent on 1 May, Minister of Economics Marjan Senjur told a news conference after a government session on Thursday. The national electricity distributor ELES Elektro-Slovenia proposed a 13.3 percent price hike, arguing that current prices fail to cover all costs causing excessive consumption.
