Slovene Exports Agency Successful in 1996

The Slovene Exports Agency closed 1996 with positive results, creating US$ 86 million of net profit which it will use to increase its security reserves, SEA senior officials told a news conference Thursday. The agency's management presented 1996 business results and plans and operating conditions for this year, paying special attention to SEA's new services with a potential for a major impact on insuring and financing Slovene exports. These include: insurance against currency risk, SAE loan-taking in foreign financial markets for funding deals abroad, and credit lines helping exporters make sales in Eastern markets.
