Ljubljana, 26 April - From 1 May 1997, the cost of electricity will be linearly higher by 9.8 percent, the Minister of Economic Relations and Development Marjan Senjur told at a press conference following the government session. The national electricity distributor ELES Elektro-Slovenija proposed a 13.3 percent price increase, arguing that current prices fail to cover all costs causing excessive consumption.
