Coronavirus death toll in Slovenia rises to 28
Ljubljana, 5 April - The coronavirus death toll rose by six to 28 on Saturday, as the number of confirmed cases increased to 997, up by 20 from the day before, show the latest statistics released by the government on Sunday.
While the death toll has been rising rapidly, hospital numbers have been mostly level or even declining in recent days.
The number of persons in hospital with covid-19 dropped by 1 to 108, having peaked at almost 120 at the end of March. Of those, 31 were in intensive care, the same number as the day before.
655 tests were conducted yesterday, for a total of 27,764.
