Labour Day Festivities Marking Workers Holiday

The traditional May Day festivity at the Rožnik hill above Ljubljana was organized by the Ljubljana branch of the Association of Independent Trade Unions of Slovenia. In the morning, Mayor of Ljubljana, Dimitrij Rupel addressed the crowd, with several events taking place afterwards; a brass orchestra and the Ljubljana majorettes performed, while a chorus sang and the Dixieland band Ljubljana Roots played some jazz.
