Weekly Review of Slovene Economy from 27 April through 3 May
Ljubljana, 3 May - Minister of Finance Mitja Gaspari and Governor of the Bank of Slovenia France Arhar attended the spring session of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund that started on 28 April in Washington. According to Minister Gaspari, Slovenia's participation in the meeting, where the dollar exchange rate was the central issue, was particularly important because of the final harmonization of the World Bank and Bank of Slovenia strategies until the end of the century, which Gaspari will soon present to the Slovene public. Governor Arhar also met a group of Slovene businessmen in New York, presenting them plans of Slovenia's central bank and its views on tolar exchange rate.
