Government on Providing Railway Transport During the Announced 10-Day Strike

Ljubljana, 15 May - GOVERNMENT/RAIWAYS/REHABILITATION
The Slovene government on Thursday adopted a regulation on providing railway transport effective during the announced ten-day strike of railway workers from May 20 to 30. Minister of Transport and Communications Anton Bergauer told after the government session that negotiations between the government and the Slovene Railways trade unions would continue. The government believes the railway workers' demands to be ungrounded and not in compliance with the collective agreement, its tariff section and the social agreement.
