Fourth Meeting of Presidents of Central Europe - Portorož '97

The presidents of eight Central European countries are to meet for the fourth consecutive year on 6 and 7 June, this time in Slovenia's seaside resorts of Portorož and Piran. Hosted by Slovene President Milan Kučan, the conference titled "National or Citizens State - Potential Future of Central Europe and Europe" will bring together Presidents of Italy Oscar Luigi Scalfaro, of Hungary Arpad Goencz, Austria's Thomas Klestil, Germany's Roman Herzog, the Czech Republic's Vaclav Havel, Slovakia's Michal Kovach, Poland's Aleksander Kwasniewski and Slovenia's Milan Kučan.
