Intersex mostly seen as medical condition by doctors, says ombudsman
Ljubljana, 25 July - The equal opportunities ombudsman has determined that the majority of health institutions in Slovenia deem intersex a medical condition that needs to be treated. The ombudsman has called on the institutions to postpone non-essential sex assignment surgeries until the intersex person is old enough to give their informed consent.
