Delo: The Wheel has Come Full Circle

Ljubljana, 29 May - It may be a coincidence, or it may be not, that the Paris signing of the accord between NATO and Russia coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Marshall Plan, by means of which the united States helped rebuild devastated, hungry and chilled Europe, holding back communism and providing its economy with important foreign markets at the same time. There is by all means a lot of symbolism in these events. The Marshall plan can be considered as the beginning of the cold war, a period that concludes with the Paris accord. The wheel has come full circle, a period of history has ended, runs the editorial in Thursday's issue of Delo.
