Rekar No Longer Heads Employers Negotiating Group

Negotiations for concluding a tariff rider to the railway traffic collective agreement (KPDŽP) came to a deadlock, Slovene Railways director Marjan Rekar told a news conference on Thursday, proposing his withdrawal from the post of leader of the employers negotiating group. Deputy director Bogdan Zgonc has already been appointed to the post. The Government and the Slovene Railways expect that similar action would be taken be the opposite side. Rekar promised to cancel all suspensions immediately after the news conference as a sign of "good will". As a result, Rekar expects the strike to end and negotiations for a new rider to continue Tuesday afternoon.
