Slovenia's general govt deficit hits 16% of GDP in second quarter
Ljubljana, 30 September - Slovenia generated a general government deficit of EUR 1.74 billion in the April-June period, which translates into 16.1% of GDP. The Statistics Office (SURS) says the high deficit results from economic activity practically ceasing during the spring lockdown and from the government's measures to cushion the Covid-19 epidemic's impact.
