Disinformation could be mitigated by law, media literacy, hears debate

Ljubljana, 2 October - The pandemic has exacerbated the spread of disinformation and conspiracy theories on social media. Self-regulation of such platforms is not enough, relevant legislation and the fostering of media literacy are needed in the fight against fake news, heard Friday's online debate organised by the European Parliament's office in Slovenia.
