Slovenian MEPs demand apology for tweet by Czech MEP
Brussels, 2 October - Slovenia's eight MEPs demand an apology from their Czech colleague Alexandr Vondra over a tweet he posted after Wednesday's defeat of Slavia Prague in a football match featuring Slovenian referee Damir Skomina. Vondra tweeted Slavia had been "cut off by a Slovenian judge", adding Slovenians "can be opportunistic pigs".
