Landslide for Slovenian minority in Globasnitz municipality elections

Klagenfurt, 1 March - The Slovenian ethnic minority won an absolute majority in the municipality of Globasnitz (Globasnica) in Sunday's local elections in Austria's Carinthia. This is the first time the Slovenian minority United List (EL) party has won an absolute majority in any municipality there. Bernard Sadovnik was meanwhile reelected Globasnitz mayor.
